Minneapolis: Red, White & Boom! Marathon:
People who are up for a half-marathon in the Minneapolis area can participate in one this Independence Day. This 13.1 mile race will test participants through this clockwise loop route around the city. The half-marathon starts at 6:30 a.m. and the 5k version starts at 6:50. The event begins at West River Parkway.
4th of July at Stone Arch Bridge:
Stone Arch Bridge believes it has the best place to watch the Minneapolis fireworks. This historic landmark has an incredible view of the sky and direct view of the city’s fireworks. Live music and vendors will be at the bridge for people to enjoy. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.
Red, White and Boom! Fireworks:
At the Downtown Minneapolis Riverfront, the Red, White and Boom! Will be putting on live music, vendors and fireworks for everyone to see. From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., a family-free fun zone will be held at Father Hennepin Bluff Park for families to enjoy live music, face painters and balloon artists. After the events are finished, fireworks will shoot up to celebrate America’s birthday.
Tangletown Fourth of July Parade and Party:
The Tangletown neighborhood is having a parade to celebrate America’s birthday. Just before the parade at 10:00 a.m. people can do some yoga at Washburn High School. Then come cheer on fellow neighbors at the parade with floats and firetrucks. As the parade is going on, attendees can also enjoy bouncy homes, face painting, live music and carnival games at Fuller Park. This event ends at 1:00 p.m.
Independence Day Celebration Game:
The St. Paul Saints are playing the Lincoln Saltdogs this on July 3. Saints are hosting fireworks for the crowd along with food truck rally after the game.
Duluth Events:
Bayfront Festival Park is hosting a free music event at the Bayfront Festival Park to people to enjoy this Independence Day. This event will feature five different music performances starting at 4:00 p.m.
4 p.m. – Gates open
4:30 p.m. – Born Too Late
5:50 p.m. – The Slamming Doors
7:10 p.m. – Superior Siren
8:45 p.m. – Junk FM
Once the music is wrapped up, fireworks will shoot off at 10:10 p.m.
Duluth Family Game Night in Duluth:
People who are searching for are looking for firework alternatives next Thursday should check out Family Game Night at Legacy Toys. This event offers over 200 games for family and friends to enjoy. It takes place on every first and third Thursday of each month. People can win prizes as well.
Are you feeling a little old school for America’s birthday this year? Well, Cloquet Veterans Park has something for you. From 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. people can come and listen to their favorites 80s music. Attendees will hear music from the likes of Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Metallica and some much more. All ages are welcome.
Fitger’s Courtyard is offering a place in the Duluth area to watch the fireworks shoot off. This spot will also give people a place to grab food and drinks while watching the sky light up.
This event goes from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
